Mitch is a guitarist and composer originally from Christchurch, New Zealand. He earned a Bachelor of Music Arts specializing in Jazz Guitar from Ara Institute of Canterbury. Since then, he has recorded and performed across New Zealand with artists such as Darren Pickering Small Worlds and Jack Page, while also releasing music with his own band, SPACE FOE, and solo project, Mitch Zachry. In 2024, he was nominated for the APRA Best Jazz Composition award for his piece Morning Like an Infinite Clarity.

Drawing from diverse influences and experiences, Mitch offers lessons in a variety of genres, including Jazz, Pop, Country, and fingerstyle guitar. Passionate about songwriting and composition, he loves helping students develop their own musical voice and express themselves through their instrument.

Mitch encourages students to follow their own musical interests while providing structure and direction in their practice, ensuring guitar techniques and foundational skills are mastered along the way.
